1. Agreement and eligibility

By downloading, purchasing, or using Lumbayar, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to purchase Pro. If local law permits a younger person to use the Free app, a parent or guardian must supervise that use and accept these Terms for them.

2. What Lumbayar does, and does not do

Lumbayar helps you privately record informal lending, borrowing, repayments, reminders, accounts, and related notes. It can format reports and messages from information you enter.

App calculations and reports are informational. Your own contracts, receipts, bank records, and applicable law determine the parties’ actual rights and obligations.

3. Your licence to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Lumbayar for personal record keeping on devices linked to your authorised Google Play account.

You may not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer except where law expressly permits, bypass purchase or entitlement checks, interfere with security, use the app unlawfully, or use it to harass, threaten, deceive, discriminate against, or publicly shame another person.

4. Your records and responsibilities

• You decide what to record and are responsible for its accuracy, legality, and relevance.
• You must have an appropriate basis to store another person’s name, contact information, financial details, image, or note.
• You must check amounts, currencies, dates, recipients, QR images, and message wording before relying on or sharing them.
• You are responsible for device security, Google account security, backups, and copies exported to other apps.
• You must use lawful and respectful repayment communications. Lumbayar must not be used for intimidation, unlawful debt collection, or spam.

5. Free and Pro features

The Free tier may support one account and other core features shown in the app. Pro may unlock multiple accounts, PDF or spreadsheet exports, advanced reports, automatic backup, and other features identified in the current purchase screen.

Prices, taxes, availability, trials, promotions, and included features are those displayed by Google Play at checkout and may vary by location or change prospectively. “Lifetime” means access to the purchased Lumbayar Pro entitlement for the commercially supported life of the app or product. It does not mean the purchaser’s lifetime, and it is not a promise that every future service or third-party cost will be included.

We may improve, replace, or retire features. If a material paid feature must be discontinued, any remedy will be subject to applicable law and Google Play policy.

6. Google Play billing, renewal, and restoration

Subscriptions

Monthly and yearly plans are automatically renewing subscriptions processed by Google Play. Google charges your selected payment method unless you cancel before the renewal deadline shown in Google Play. You can cancel at any time through Google Play; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period. Deleting Lumbayar does not cancel a subscription.

Lifetime purchase

The lifetime plan is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, not a recurring subscription. The promotional price may end without notice; the checkout screen shows the binding price before payment.

Restore purchase

Use “Restore purchase” while signed into the Google Play account that completed the transaction. Restoration depends on Google Play returning a valid entitlement. Purchases generally cannot be transferred between Google accounts.

Payment details, refunds, and taxes

Google Play processes payment and handles the payment method; we do not receive your complete card or bank details. Refund requests and billing disputes are governed by Google Play’s rules and applicable consumer law. Displayed prices may include or exclude taxes depending on Google Play’s presentation and your location.

7. Backups, restore, exports, and reminders

You are responsible for keeping appropriate backups and confirming that a restore completed correctly. Google Drive backup is optional and depends on Google sign-in, Drive availability, permissions, network access, storage limits, and third-party APIs.

A Drive backup is saved in Lumbayar’s hidden Google Drive application-data folder, not as a normal visible “My Drive” file. Manual export files go to the Android destination you select. Exports and messages can contain personal or financial information; review them before sending.

Notifications and reminders are conveniences, not guaranteed delivery services. They may be delayed or blocked by device settings, permissions, battery optimisation, operating-system restrictions, or network conditions.

8. Third-party services

Lumbayar may interact with Google Play, Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Android contacts, camera, files, sharing, and messaging apps you select. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for a third party’s availability, security, content, policies, account decisions, or changes.

9. Ownership and feedback

You retain your rights in the records and files you create. Lumbayar, its branding, software, interface, documentation, and original content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

If you submit suggestions or feedback, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or payment, while we will not publicly identify you as the source without permission.

10. Service and warranty disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumbayar is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, permanent storage, successful debt recovery, legal enforceability of a record, or compatibility with every device or third-party service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or rights that Malaysian consumer law or other applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

11. Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss; lost profits or opportunities; failed repayments; disputes between users and their contacts; or loss arising from inaccurate entries, missed reminders, unauthorised device access, exports, or third-party services.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our aggregate liability connected with Lumbayar will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Lumbayar during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or RM50, except where a different minimum remedy is required by law.

12. Suspension, termination, and app changes

You may stop using Lumbayar at any time. We may suspend access to online or paid features where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risk, a legal requirement, or a material breach of these Terms. Pro entitlement decisions remain subject to valid Google Play purchase status and applicable refund or revocation events.

Before uninstalling or clearing data, export any records you want to keep. Local data may not be recoverable afterward.

13. Governing law, disputes, and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection that applies where you live. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Subject to mandatory law, disputes may be brought in the courts of Malaysia.

We may revise these Terms for feature, operational, legal, or security changes. The effective date will be updated and material changes may be highlighted in the app or store listing. If you do not accept revised Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any future subscription renewal.

If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and us regarding Lumbayar, subject to the Google Play terms that separately govern distribution and billing.
